Description
Filodivino's “Perturbato” is a dry frizzante white, refermented in the bottle. A pure Verdicchio unlike the usual: immediate, fun and full of surprises in every glass, it demonstrates the versatility of this extraordinary grape. The estate, founded just a few years ago on the hills of San Marcello, farms its vineyards according to organic principles. The soils consist mainly of calcareous clay and sand, a composition typical of the area, which is characterised by winters that are not too cold and often dry summers. The harvest, always by hand, is brought slightly forward to retain all the necessary freshness and acidity. After picking, the grapes are chilled overnight in a cold room, destemmed the following day and then fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged for around six months in steel tanks on its fine lees before the second fermentation in the bottle, triggered by adding must and yeasts. Neither filtered nor disgorged, it is sold with its sediment and is slightly cloudy. Intense yellow in the glass, it opens on the nose with aromas of fresh apple and white flowers, while on the palate it is lively and easy-drinking, supported by bright acidity and a pleasant fullness with a lively, fine bead. The finish is clean, fresh and slightly mineral. A very versatile wine, it works well as an aperitif and with any dish, and is also recommended with pizza.
