Andrea and Nat meet in 2018, thanks to an introduction by a mutual friend during an evening in a pub. They tell each other about their past, their dreams, their ambitions and their passions. Inevitably, the subject of wine came up and, thanks to their mutual understanding, they immediately decided to embark on this journey together. Thus, a few weeks later, they founded Bossanova, starting from the small plot of land of just over one hectare that Andrea's grandfather had planted in the 1970s, cultivating vines with an innovative approach based on respect for biodiversity and lightness in the winemaking process.
Today the farm extends over 26 hectares, of which 9 are dedicated to vines, 2 to olive groves and the remaining 15 to arable land, meadows and woods.
Nat Colantonio and Andrea Quaglia produce wines that reflect the territory, capable of evoking emotions and aspiring to cosmopolitanism. They work by combining ancestral rituals and modern knowledge, avoiding any kind of sophistication, proposing high quality indigenous wines from the most important part of the oenological context of the Teramo hills: Controguerra.
In a land with a strong winemaking tradition, Bossanova introduces innovations and looks to the future, with the aim of promoting the splendid native vines.
The winery produces Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC, Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC and two Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC and DOCG wines.
The farm, the silence, the sea breeze, the surrounding nature and the expert hand of those who harvest and vinify make Bossanova wines lively, authentic and concrete, just like those who choose them.
