Description
Filodivino's rosé “Albae” brings together two different and complementary souls: on one side Lacrima, a native Marche grape that offers an intense, fragrant and highly expressive aromatic profile; on the other Syrah, an international variety that contributes finesse, depth and a more elegant structure. The meeting of these two grapes creates a harmonious balance in which the more immediate and fragrant side of Lacrima intertwines with the subtler, spicier nuances of Syrah, complementing each other in the glass to create a rosé of great personality and coherence. We are on the hills of San Marcello, at an altitude of between 220 and 230 metres, where the vineyards of Filodivino, a young estate with a clear vision, are farmed according to the principles of organic viticulture, with a minimal-intervention approach in both vineyard and cellar. The harvest takes place slightly earlier than for the same grapes destined for the red labels, all by hand and in small crates. In the cellar the bunches are gently destemmed and then pressed directly, as in white winemaking. The must ferments in stainless steel tanks and the wine ages on its lees until spring, before being bottled. In the glass it shows a pale, elegant and bright pink colour, while the nose offers fragrant and enveloping aromas in which the fruity and floral character of Lacrima intertwines with the subtler, spicier nuances of Syrah. On the palate it is harmonious, fresh and smooth, supported by a pleasant mineral vein that lengthens the finish. “Albae” is an expressive and versatile rosé that naturally accompanies both flavourful fish dishes and white meat preparations.
