Description

Podere Conca's '196' red wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in the Bolgheri area of Tuscany, a few kilometres from the sea. Cabernet Sauvignon is an international grape variety that gives great satisfaction on its own or in blends. The result is a red wine that unfolds all its freshness when young, seductive, with a contrasting but never boring bouquet of red fruits and vegetal notes typical of the variety.
The name on the label is the symbol of the estate, its house number and landmark.
Podere Conca is a very young company, completely organic, with a vision of the future, of restoring and preserving the biodiversity of the territory.
As with some of the other references, the grapes come from the Le Ferruggini vineyard, located just 4 km from the sea, at an almost hilly altitude of 80 m above sea level. Here, the sandy soil with excellent drainage capacity and the influence of sea breezes create an ideal habitat for the cultivation and expression of the final product in the glass. The grapes, harvested by hand, are carefully processed in the cellar, first destemmed and then crushed, so that the fermenting must constantly moistens the skins during maceration, which lasts from 7 to 10 days. All this takes place in special tulip-shaped cement vats called 'Le Tulipe'. Maturation lasts about 8 months, all in cement tanks, followed by at least 2 months in bottle before release.
The Cabernet Sauvignon '196' presents itself in the glass with an intense and lively red colour. On the nose, the first notes are of fresh fruit, followed by vegetal nuances that intertwine in a fascinating aromatic balance. On the palate, the freshness and acidity are immediately noticeable, accompanied by a pleasant fruity finish that invites you to take another sip.
Perfect with meat dishes, even spicy ones, or with vegetables and cheeses of various ages. Its liveliness also makes it ideal for summer dishes, offering a young, dynamic and irresistible taste experience.
