Emilia Romagna
Emilia-Romagna lies in northern Italy, between the Po plain and the Apennines. In its eastern half, Romagna, the vineyards climb the hills around Faenza and Ravenna, where Sangiovese is the main red grape. Romagna is also the home of Albana, a white grape with body and structure, and of native varieties such as Centesimino and Famoso, kept alive by small growers.
