Description
The three-bottle case of 'Fiano' from Vinicola Cicella contains a fresh and light white wine, a faithful expression of this native Apulian grape variety. Made from 100% Fiano grapes, it originates in the countryside south of Taranto, where the vineyards are located on medium-textured soils, composed of sand, clay and silt, and benefit from their proximity to the Ionian Sea. The vines, facing south and trained using the Guyot method, offer modest yields of around 90 quintals per hectare. The harvest takes place in the last week of August, followed by soft pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts. Ageing continues in stainless steel for five months before bottling. In the glass, it has a straw yellow colour with bright green reflections. The nose offers fragrant floral notes and hints of fresh exotic fruit, while the palate is soft, balanced and lively, with pleasant savoury nuances and good acidity on the finish. Ideal with fish dishes, delicate cheeses and white meats.
