Description

In the picturesque landscape of the hills overlooking the winery stands a small Romanesque church dedicated to San Siro, the young man who, according to legend, brought the baskets of loaves and fishes that were later multiplied by Jesus. A place steeped in history and spirituality that silently overlooks the vineyards of the Pisoni family, guardians of a winemaking tradition that has been handed down for over a century. The grapes come from the vineyards of Le Part, where the Pisoni family cultivates Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, which thrive in this ideal environment, characterised by the mild climate typical of the Valle dei Laghi and surrounded by clayey soils, reaching perfect ripeness every year. Like the other labels of the winery, San Siro undergoes a 30-day maceration in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts. For ageing, San Siro spends 12 months in fourth or fifth passage barriques, which give the wine a subtle woody note and a definite softness and roundness, balanced by the right amount of tannin. San Siro stands out for its versatility at the table, not afraid of food. It goes well with a wide range of dishes, from fresh or seasoned cured meats in the Italian tradition to stuffed pasta or pasta with meat sauces. An ideal companion for every convivial moment.
