A sensory journey with every sip, this Syrah from Cantina Blasi embodies the elegance, refinement and innovation that define Cantina Blasi. Each bunch of grapes grows in the warm embrace of the Umbrian sun, caressed by the hill breezes that give character and complexity to our wines, on the clayey, south-south-west facing soils of Villa Pace, at an altitude of 300-320 metres above sea level. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in contact with the skins in steel tanks for at least 15 days. Careful management of the malolactic fermentation in steel tanks to reduce the malic acid content, a long resting period of 18 months in large French oak barrels and further ageing in the bottle for at least 4-5 months are the secret of the complexity, roundness and softness of the sip. On the nose, the aromas of blueberries, ripe blackberries and oriental spices are enveloping.
