Description

Inspired by Janus, the archaic double-faced god, Giulia and Filippo are drawing on the past to reintroduce an advanced and responsible agriculture, with the aim of recovering historic vineyards and valorising ancient Verdicchio varieties using conservative cultivation techniques.

Their previous experience abroad convinced them even more of what makes Italy a unique country in the world: the ability to create an economy based on identity and innovation, rooted in history and in our innate vocation to create beauty in harmony with the land.

Despite the initial state of abandonment of the vineyards, Giulia and Filippo took the risk of restoring them to a physiologically efficient and functional form of cultivation.

Proud of their choices, which are clearly at odds with the usual agronomic management logic, they have managed to give new life to an important heritage in the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi wine panorama, with an artisan and small-scale approach. This allows them to process only perfectly healthy grapes, free of residues, limiting the oenological additives to a very low dosage of sulphites.

With Verdicchio Jano they have achieved their first success, born of a passionate love for their work and a great respect for the vineyards.
