Tuscany

Located in the heart of Italy, Tuscany is one of the world's most famous and popular wine-growing regions, thanks to its long winemaking tradition and the quality of its wines. The region is famous for its breathtaking hilly landscapes, which are home to some of the country's most prestigious wine appellations.

Chianti, perhaps Tuscany's most famous wine, comes from the vast area between Florence and Siena. Produced mainly from Sangiovese grapes, Chianti Classico is renowned for its freshness, vibrant acidity and notes of cherry and spice. Another famous wine-producing area is Montalcino, home to Brunello di Montalcino, a robust and long-lasting wine made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes. Montepulciano is another well-known area, famous for its Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, an elegant and structured red wine.

Tuscany is also home to the Maremma coast, where the famous 'Super Tuscans' are produced, innovative wines made from international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, often blended with Sangiovese. With its unique blend of tradition and innovation, Tuscany continues to be one of the leading wine regions, representing the excellence of Italian wine to the world.
