Description

Natìo, Rosso Colli Euganei DOC is a blend of Cabernet and Merlot grapes, defined as a Bordeaux blend. This wine is produced only in certain vintages characterised by particular climatic conditions that favour the perfect combination of the two grape varieties. Natìo Rosso Colli Euganei DOC is a wine with a strong link to the territory; it is produced from grapes grown on calcareous soil at an altitude of between 50 and 150 metres above sea level. After a careful selection of the grapes, the yield is about 20-30 quintals per hectare, a guarantee of the quality of the grapes. The grapes are harvested by hand and the maceration process takes place in wooden barrels for about 6 months, allowing the wine to develop slowly and deeply. The fermentation is spontaneous, enriching the varietal aromatic profile, the stabilisation (of unstable proteins and tartaric acid) is natural, without any external intervention or addition of products. The fermentation is followed by slow ageing in tonneaux for 3 years in order to achieve balance. The wine continues to age in tonneaux, where it develops its unmistakable character. On tasting, the wine reveals aromas of small red fruits, underpinned by spirits and plums, enriched by light spicy and herbaceous notes, in harmony with a hint of liquorice. Toasty nuances from the ageing process complete the sensory experience and give the wine an exceptional complexity. The great minerality blends harmoniously with extremely fine tannins, offering an enveloping and tight sip with a long and satisfying finish. Its versatility makes it an ideal wine for meditation.
