Description
Terre Nere's 'Montalcino' three-bottle case encapsulates the different nuances of Sangiovese through three interpretations from the Tuscan winery Terre Nere: Ribelle, Rosso di Montalcino and Brunello di Montalcino.
Ribelle is an easy-drinking, elegant and mineral Sangiovese, which releases aromas of cherry and wild strawberry. Fresh and harmonious, it is the ideal companion for everyday traditional dishes, offering an authentic and lively taste.
Rosso di Montalcino is an ambassador for the territory, produced from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes. Young and fragrant, it stands out for its aromas of morello cherry, violet and delicate spices. It is balanced on the palate, with soft tannins and a pleasant freshness that invites you to pour a second glass.
Brunello di Montalcino represents the highest expression of the grape variety. Aged for 36 months in Slavonian oak barrels, it offers elegance and depth, with notes of ripe fruit, tobacco and balsamic. Structured, refined and persistent, it is a wine destined to evolve over time, an absolute symbol of Tuscan tradition.

Brunello di Montalcino Terre Nere
Description
Brunello di Montalcino is a red wine appreciated and known all over the world, an icon of Italian wine. The name 'Brunello' comes from the dark colour of the grapes of a particular variety of Sangiovese, which was cultivated and vinified by Ferruccio Santi of Montalcino in the second half of the 19th century. The Terre Nere label represents the highest expression of the Sangiovese grape, fresh, elegant and refined, with well-integrated tannins and a good structure, with pronounced notes of red fruit that entice the palate. The winery's vineyards are located in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, near Montalcino in the Tuscan countryside. The vines, which are about 20 years old, are planted on marl soils, facing south-east, kissed by the sun and surrounded by unspoilt woods, with an ideal microclimate for growing vines. The Terre Nere winery's commitment to quality is reflected in the meticulous care taken at every stage, from the vineyard to the bottle. The grapes are harvested by hand, with meticulous selection of the bunches, which are collected in 15 kg baskets to ensure that only the best grapes reach the cellar. The must obtained is fermented spontaneously with maceration on the skins for up to 30 days at a controlled temperature of around 28-30°C in steel vats. Ageing takes place in large 50hl and 30hl Slavonian oak barrels for a good 36 months. The colour is ruby red, tending towards garnet, and the nose reveals notes of ripe red fruit, interwoven with balsamic, spicy and menthol notes, enriched by a hint of tobacco. In the mouth, the wine is elegant and refined, with a pleasant tannic texture, good structure and persistence. This is a wine destined to evolve with time, with a pronounced acidity, a work of art that celebrates the richness of the Montalcino terroir.Read More

Rosso di Montalcino Terre Nere
Description
The Rosso di Montalcino produced by Terre Nere, a precious ambassador of the fascinating lands of Montalcino, Tuscany, enchants with its vibrant colour, an intense ruby red. The Rosso di Montalcino, made exclusively from Sangiovese Grosso grapes, is a younger and fresher version, ready to drink, compared to the more noble Brunello. With aromas of marasca cherries, violets and blackcurrants that blend harmoniously, and tannins that are still young but of excellent quality, it shows an extraordinary ductility in table pairings. The Terre Nere winery pays great attention to the promotion of biodiversity through the use of beneficial insects, fertilisation with manure and the use of natural products. This constant commitment is also reflected in the organic certification obtained for both the vineyard and the cellar. The harvest is always done by hand, each bunch of grapes is selected according to its degree of ripeness, which sometimes requires several passes through the vineyard during the harvest in order to obtain perfect ripeness and quality of the grapes. In the cellar, work is carried out in an artisanal way, using indigenous yeasts, and the must undergoes a long maceration on the skins at a controlled temperature of 28-30°C in steel vats during fermentation. It is a process that aims to extract the best from the grapes and to interpret the authenticity of Sangiovese Grosso. Maturation, an integral part of the ageing process, takes place in steel vats for 6 months after the end of fermentation, after which the wine is transferred to large 50 hl and 30 hl Slavonian oak barrels, where it rests for about 8 months. Bottle ageing lasts at least 4 months before release. An inviting ruby red colour with garnet highlights, the nose opens with elegant notes of crisp red fruits and flint, a seductive invitation to savour. On the palate, the young but soft tannins combine with a pleasant freshness to create liveliness and good persistence in the finish.Read More

Sangiovese "Ribelle" Terre Nere
Description
Ribelle, from the Tuscan winery Terre Nere, is a red wine made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, easy to drink, with a distinct minerality on the nose that takes us back to Montalcino, a hilly area caressed by sea breezes. Elegant and fresh, it goes well with even the simplest dishes, perfect to taste an excellent Sangiovese, thanks also to the lively, fruity expressions it is capable of releasing. The estate vineyards that give life to 'Ribelle' are located a few kilometres from the town of Montalcino, at an altitude of 260 metres above sea level, on soils rich in marl and silt, in an area appreciated for its uncontaminated nature and biodiversity, with woods at the edge of the vineyards and streams at the bottom of the valley. This wine, with its deep ruby red colour, is the result of a careful and loving harvest, in which the Sangiovese Grosso grapes are hand-picked and taken to the cellar in small baskets to prevent the grapes from breaking. In the cellar, the fermentation maceration takes place spontaneously, thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts from the grape skins. The maceration lasts for about 20 days and is carried out in stainless steel vats in order to preserve the freshness and elegance of the Sangiovese. Maturation lasts for about 3 months, also in stainless steel, before bottling. The bouquet of 'Ribelle' opens with fruity notes of cherry and wild strawberry, typical of the variety, accompanied by light citrus nuances. The sip is mineral, reveals its elegance and lively freshness, continues to envelop the palate and in the finish the acidity makes it extraordinarily pleasant and moderately persistent. An ideal companion for any table, it will enhance the most authentic gastronomic pleasures and invites us to discover its character.Read More
