Description

The 'Controcorrente' three-bottle case includes wines from the line of the same name, created by the De Vigili winery, from the Piana Rotaliana, the heart of Trentino.

Pinot Grigio Controcorrente comes from vines grown using the Trentino double pergola method, with an average age of 30-40 years and a yield of around 100 quintals/hectare. Hand-picked, fermented in used barriques and aged until the following spring. Intense straw yellow colour, bouquet of white flowers and flint; enveloping, fresh and savoury on the palate. Ideal for aperitifs or fish-based first courses.

Teroldego Controcorrente is made from young vines (15-20 years old) trained using the double Trentino pergola method. Hand-picked, spontaneous fermentation on the skins for 5-8 days, ageing for 10 months in cement. Intense ruby red, aromas of violet petals, morello cherry and red berries; elegant on the palate with soft tannins. Perfect from aperitif to meal.

Teroldego Rosato Controcorrente comes from the Pasquari vineyard, trained using the double Trentino pergola system. Hand-picked, free-run juice fermented in white, aged in stainless steel until the following year. Delicate pink with coppery reflections, aromas of currants, wild strawberries and peach; harmonious, fresh and savoury on the palate. Excellent as an aperitif or with fish and shellfish dishes.
