Description

"De Vigili's Rosato Countercurrent is inspired by elegance and refinement, interpreting the characteristics of the indigenous Teroldego grape in a delicate way. This exclusive label is characterised by meticulous vinification and the freshness typical of Alpine wines, resulting in a rosé with an elegant profile and in line with modern trends. The Teroldego grapes come from the Pasquari vineyard, situated at 227 metres above sea level, in the heart of the picturesque Piana Rotaliana, at the foot of the Dolomites, surrounded by imposing mountains. This wine is the fruit of a long tradition linked to the Teroldeghe area, from which the name of the Teroldego vine derives, dating back to 1490. The vines are cultivated according to the traditional Trentino double pergola system, carefully tended to maintain an optimal balance between vegetation and production, specifically for rosé vinification. Harvesting is done by hand in the morning and the grapes are placed in cold storage for a few hours to lower their temperature and reduce colour extraction. This meticulous process is followed by a very gentle destemming, which is necessary to break up the grapes and extract only the flower must, which ferments in white without maceration. The refinement of the rosé takes place against the current in steel tanks until the following year, which allows the wine to reach a harmonious balance. The Teroldego Rosato De Vigili has a delicate pink colour, enriched with reddish-brown reflections that enhance its elegance. The bouquet expresses subtle aromas of redcurrant, wild strawberry and peach. The palate reveals the refinement and finesse of the wine. A soft entry with a harmonious sip underlines the presence of white fleshed fruit, balanced by a pleasant vein of acidity and minerality, finished with a lively freshness. Perfect as an aperitif and ideal with fish and shellfish dishes.
