Abruzzo | Page 2

Abruzzo, bordering Marche to the north and also on the Adriatic coast of central Italy, is a wine-producing region renowned for producing high-quality wines that reflect the wild and unspoilt beauty of its territory. The region is characterised by majestic mountains, rolling hills and a mild climate that is perfect for growing grapes. Abruzzo's most famous grape variety is Montepulciano, from which the famous Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC is produced, an intense and structured red wine, appreciated for its notes of red fruit, spices and softness on the palate. It is a wine that ages well, gaining complexity with time.

The Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, a dry and fresh white wine known for its versatility and its floral and fruity notes, is another excellent product of the region. The region also produces Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo, a rosé wine made from the same Montepulciano grapes, with a bright colour and notes of cherry and fresh fruit.

With its combination of tradition and innovation, Abruzzo's reputation continues to grow, offering a wide range of wines that capture the essence of its unique landscape and wine culture.
