Description
The three-bottle case "Original by Bossanova" from the Bossanova winery contains labels created from old vines and an artisanal, organic and non-interventionist approach.
Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo reflect the identity of the territory and the philosophy of Nat and Andrea, who produce genuine and vibrant wines in Controguerra, between the sea and the Apennines. Trebbiano d'Abruzzo is made from grapes from forty-year-old vineyards. After spontaneous fermentation and ageing in cement, it expresses itself with aromas of yellow fruit, sage and chamomile, a tense and mineral palate, fresh and persistent, with a savoury and deep finish.
Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is an elegant and complex rosé, made from 100% Montepulciano grapes. Cherry pink in colour, it offers notes of strawberry, currant and raspberry on the nose, with hints of Mediterranean herbs. The palate is fresh, agile and structured, with a long, salty finish. Perfect with savoury dishes or pizza.
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is the red version, vinified with short maceration and aged for twenty months in cement. Intense ruby red in colour, it has aromas of black cherries, pepper and balsamic notes, with a full body and balanced tannins.

Trebbiano d'Abruzzo Bossanova
Description
The Trebbiano d'Abruzzo of the Bossanova winery is made from the grapes of the variety of the same name, from old vines. It is a white wine of great character, with a strong territorial identity, with a tight and incisive sip, expressing freshness and persistence. A wine with pleasant fruity aromas, enhanced by Mediterranean and balsamic notes. Bossanova is located in Controguerra, a small town in the Teramane hills, in the northern part of Abruzzo. It is a young and dynamic reality that produces artisan and organic wines; in fact, Nat and Andrea's philosophy is to work with total respect for biodiversity in the vineyard and non-interventionist in the cellar, avoiding any kind of sophistication. The Trebbiano grapes come from different parcels of land, all characterised by predominantly clayey soils at an altitude of about 250 metres above sea level. The average age of the vines is 40 years and they are trained using the spurred cordon system to obtain a low yield per plant, a practice that is unfortunately not very widespread among Trebbiano producers and that in fact guarantees very high quality grapes at harvest. After harvesting, which is done entirely by hand, the grapes are taken to the cellar, where 80% of them are pressed to obtain the must, while 20% of them are selected and added to the whole must for maceration. Fermentation takes place spontaneously, thanks to the action of indigenous yeasts, without the addition of sulphites or other additives. After 8 months of ageing in cement vats, the wine is bottled without any oenological clarification or filtration, and remains in the bottle for 3 months before being released. Its colour is bright and brilliant straw yellow, and its bouquet expresses notes of crisp, yellow-fleshed fruit, with hints of sage and chamomile, combined with balsamic notes. On the palate, it is full and vertical, deep and mineral, with a long, fresh and savoury aftertaste that makes you want to take another sip. A very versatile Trebbiano, to be tried with both white meat and fish dishes, it pairs well and is pleasant from aperitif to main course.Read More

Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Bossanova
Description
Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is Bossanova's rosé wine made from pure Montepulciano grapes, an eclectic vine capable of producing very different products with extraordinary potential, such as full-bodied and structured reds for ageing, but also unique and difficult to find rosés, such as this Cerasuolo, which manages to combine freshness and liveliness, pleasant aromas of fragrant red fruits and remarkable structure, a complete wine with excellent balance and character, a faithful interpreter of its terroir. The vineyards of Montepulciano are located on the hills of the small town of Controguerra, in the Colline Teramane DOCG area, an area renowned for its biodiversity, where the unique microclimate, thanks to the proximity of the Adriatic Sea and the Apennines, favours the cultivation of high-quality vines. The grapes for Cerasuolo are harvested from a single plot of land, where the average age of the vines is 40 years, and the soil is composed mainly of clay and limestone. The grapes are picked by hand and placed in small containers. In the cellar, vinification is carried out with red grapes, starting with crushing and destemming, followed by soft pressing of the grapes. The fermentation is spontaneous and is carried out by indigenous yeasts naturally present on the skins of the grapes; no sulphites or other additives are added. After alcoholic fermentation, Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo matures in cement tanks for 8 months and is then bottled without clarification or filtration. The cherry-pink colour of the glass promises vitality, while the bouquet reveals sweet floral and fruity notes of redcurrant, wild strawberry, raspberry and a delicate finish of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is lively, fresh and well structured, with a relaxed finish, enriched by a pleasant salty persistence that invites you to take another sip. This wine is recommended with dishes with lively flavours such as pasta with aromatic red sauces, quality cured meats, white meats or fish dishes such as seafood salads. It also goes well with pizza.Read More

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Bossanova
Description
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is produced exclusively with grapes of the same variety from the Bossanova estate. This version of Montepulciano promotes freshness, it is vinified with a short maceration, which rewards the smoothness, softness and delicate aromas of red fruits, combined with the more lively aromas of spices, while maintaining the strength and serenity of the variety. The sip is full-bodied and well-balanced, with a long and precious finish. Bossanova is located in the north of Abruzzo, in the hills of Controguerra. This young winery, run by Nat and Andrea, now has 9 hectares of vineyards, cultivated using biodynamic methods, with total respect for the ecosystem and biodiversity, the culture and traditions of the place. The Montepulciano grapes come from vineyards that are about 40 years old, located on a single plot of land and cultivated with spurred cordon pruning at about 250 metres above sea level. The grapes are harvested manually in boxes and once in the cellar, 20% of the grapes are crushed by foot, as in the past, and the must obtained is added to the remaining 80% of the mass obtained by mechanical crushing and destemming. The must and marc macerate together during fermentation for about 10 days, with daily bombardment. The wine matures in cement tanks for about 20 months. After bottling, the wine remains in the bottle for 6 months before being released. This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo has an intense ruby red colour. On the nose it is rich in aromas of black cherry, red plum and eucalyptus, enriched with sparkling notes of black pepper and balsamic aromas. The palate is impeccable, with a full-bodied entry, an enveloping softness and an important, perfectly balanced tannic imprint. The finish is long and persistent. Excellent with savoury starters, meat and cheese dishes.Read More
