"Naturae Bianco" Cascina Belmonte
Description
The purchase of Cascina Belmonte's Naturae wines not only pleases the palate, but also contributes to the funding of the farm's Nature Plan, a company project aimed at promoting biodiversity and supporting environmentally friendly agriculture. A commitment that has resulted in the planting of a zero-impact vineyard on ancient terraces, using new disease-resistant varieties that have become very popular in recent years due to their cultivation, which reduces the use of sanitary treatments. There will also be a butterfly garden and a woodland pond to encourage the reproduction of amphibians. The vines are cultivated on clay soil using the Guyot training system, with a controlled yield of 75 quintals per hectare. The grapes are destemmed and crushed, and the must is left to macerate on the skins for about 12 hours, followed by fermentation with selected yeasts without filtration. The wine is then aged for 5 months in stainless steel followed by one month in the bottle. Naturae presents itself with a citrus bouquet enriched with typical yeast notes. On the palate, it offers plenty of freshness with pleasant balsamic hints and a dry, lively finish. Notes of yeast, toasted bread and freshness give the wine a complex and compelling profile. Perfect with dishes such as risotto with herbs, fresh cheeses and vegetarian cuisine, Naturae is also an ideal companion for barbecue lovers, proving to be a thirst-quenching and satisfying drink.Read More

Marzemino "Naturae" Cascina Belmonte
Description
The Naturae wine, produced with Marzemino grapes from the Cascina Belmonte winery, supports the Farm Nature Plan, an initiative aimed at increasing and maintaining biodiversity on the farm, promoting a sustainable and harmonious relationship with the surrounding ecosystem. Our commitment results in a richer and more diverse agricultural environment, contributing to the preservation of natural beauty and reducing the dependence of farmers on external interventions. In order to achieve this, we have implemented a series of actions that have been brought together under the Farm Nature Plan project. Marzemino, an ancient black grape variety, lives on today in some lucky areas, including Trentino, Friuli, Emilia and Lombardy. Once cultivated in the Chianti area, it has gained fame over the centuries thanks to Mozart's mention of it in Don Giovanni. Cultivated on clay soils using the Guyot training system, with a controlled yield of 75 quintals per hectare, Marzemino undergoes a vinification process that includes three days of maceration on the skins before the fermenting must is separated from the skins. At the end of fermentation, the wine is aged in steel tanks. Naturae Marzemino is a wine without added sulphites. Ruby red in colour, the nose is full of blackberries and ripe cherries, enriched by a wild note of cut grass. The finish surprises with the sweet intensity of liquorice. The palate is juicy and fresh, with a good depth of texture. The tannins are pleasantly youthful, while the wine warms and dries the palate, offering an interplay of olfactory and fruity intensity with a remarkable tactile fleshiness. Marzemino is an ideal companion for everyday meals, perfect with red meat and grilled meats in informal settings.Read More

Rebo "Naturae" Cascina Belmonte
Description
Cascina Belmonte's "Naturae" wine, made from rebo grapes, is funding the FARM NATURE PLAN project The agro-ecosystem is, by its very nature, an unstable environment due to extensive human intervention. Through this initiative, Cascina Belmonte aims to improve both the quality and the quantity of biodiversity on its land. This mission aims to create a more biologically balanced environment, making it more beautiful and reducing the need for intervention by farmers. The name of the vine is a tribute to Rebo Rigotti, an eminent Italian agronomist and geneticist from the 1930s, known for his experiments on various crops. His research on the vine led to the creation of the officially recognised indigenous variety Rebo, a cross between Merlot and Teroldego. Cultivated using the Guyot training system on clay soil, with a controlled yield of 75 quintals per hectare, the grapes undergo a 3-day maceration with the must after harvesting. At the end of fermentation, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks. The bright ruby red colour of Naturae Rebo reflects the liveliness, depth and brilliance of the wine. The nose is fresh and vaguely herbaceous, with hints of black cherry, sour cherry, raspberry and a subtle peppery spiciness. The palate is clean and savoury, with a fragrant vinosity and crisp fruitiness, offering an authentic everyday experience that never tires of drinking. It is a wine that accompanies any meal with youthful cheerfulness. Naturae Rebo is versatile and can be served with cured meats, fresh cheeses, rustic snacks with toasted polenta and sausage or grilled cheese. Naturae Rebo embodies the incredible charm of simplicity with a delicate and cheerful openness.Read More
