Description
Elena Fucci's 'Espressioni di Aglianico' three-bottle case contains two reds and a rosé, demonstrating the versatility of this grape variety, symbolic of the Vulture area, and enhancing its strength, elegance, depth and freshness.
Titolo Classico is the winery's iconic wine, made from 100% Aglianico del Vulture grapes from 50-70-year-old vineyards at the foot of Mount Vulture. Intense ruby red with garnet reflections, the nose offers a blend of mineral notes, ripe red fruits, tobacco and cinnamon. On the palate it is dry, warm and enveloping, with elegant tannins and a long finish, ideal with red meats, game and mature cheeses.
Titolo Pink Edition is the rosé expression of this famous wine, combining liveliness and depth, revealing the more delicate side of Aglianico. Intense and brilliant pink in colour, it offers notes of citrus, strawberries and white flowers on the nose. On the palate it surprises with its minerality and vibrant sapidity, perfect as an aperitif or paired with light dishes and seafood.
Finally, SCEG is a red wine with deep symbolic value, created as a tribute to the land of Vulture and its farmers. The fifty-year-old vines rooted in volcanic soil produce a full-bodied wine with aromas of ripe black fruit, thyme and white pepper. On the palate it is balanced, round and persistent, with a long, mineral finish.

Aglianico del Vulture "Titolo Classico" Elena Fucci
The classic version of the red wine "Titolo" from the Elena Fucci winery is made with grapes of the pure Aglianico del Vulture variety, an indigenous grape variety of Basilicata, cultivated in one of the most renowned areas of the region thanks to the combination of an exceptional terroir and microclimate.
From the very beginning, this small family business decided to produce a single label, later presented in several versions, called Titolo, inspired by the name of the Contrada where the winery was born: Solagna del Titolo.
The classic Titolo is undoubtedly the starting point of the line, a wine not lacking in fruit, surrounded by spicy notes, with a structure worthy of the vine from which it comes; an icon and faithful representation of its terroir, promising extraordinary evolution if left to rest properly in the cellar.
The vineyards are between 50 and 70 years old and are located at the foot of Monte Vulture, in the village of Barile, the beating heart of the appellation, characterised by soils composed of layers of pozzolan, lapilli and volcanic ash, interspersed with clay, a true story of the millennial pauses of eruptive activity.
The grape harvest, one of the most delayed in Italy, is carried out strictly by hand between the end of October and the beginning of November. The grapes, collected in small baskets, are quickly taken to the cellar where they are sorted and destemmed. The almost whole grapes ferment in steel vats with the must, a long maceration that continues throughout the fermentation process. After drawing off and soft pressing, the wine is placed in barriques, half of which are new, for about 12 months, during which time malolactic fermentation takes place. The wine is then bottle-aged for a further 12 months before being released. In the glass, the Titolo Classico has an intense ruby red colour with garnet reflections. The bouquet is broad and complex, a tangle of mineral notes followed by sweet notes of ripe red fruits and spices: cherry, redcurrant jam, rosemary, tobacco and a delicate hint of cinnamon. The palate is dry and warm, with an enveloping structure, elegant tannins and an aromatic persistence that accompanies a long finish.
An ideal accompaniment to meat-based dishes such as pasta with red meat sauce or roasts, grilled meats, game dishes and mature cheeses.

Aglianico "Titolo Pink Edition" Elena Fucci
The Pink Edition 'Titolo' is the rosé expression of the 'Titolo' line, a wine capable of combining liveliness and depth, revealing the most delicate and versatile side of this noble vine, Aglianico. In fact, Elena Fucci decided to create this label by vinifying red Aglianico in rosé, bringing to the glass all the fruit that this variety is capable of transmitting, balancing the aroma with all the minerality and freshness combined with the savouriness that the terroir is capable of transmitting.
The vineyards selected for its production are located at the foot of Monte Vulture, in the northernmost part of Basilicata, not far from the border with the neighbouring region of Puglia, an area with a climate and soil composition that have proved to be extremely favourable to vine growing. Preference is given to grapes from the youngest and most vigorous vines, aged between 6 and 10 years, and the harvest is slightly earlier. Harvested by hand in small baskets, the grapes are cooled in the cellar, destemmed and left to ferment in steel vats with almost whole grapes, with cryomaceration (cold maceration) for about 4 days. This is followed by a soft, short-cycle pressing and aging in steel vats for about two and a half months, followed by filtration and a further two months resting in the bottle.
The result is a wine with an intense, bright pink colour. To the nose, it offers elegant aromas of sparkling fruit, with lively notes of citrus, sweet hints of fresh strawberries and delicate hints of white flowers.
On the palate, it has a pronounced minerality at the start, followed by a lively spiciness and balance that make it perfect as an aperitif or with light dishes such as vegetable couscous or salads, steamed or tempura-cooked fish.
The Pink Edition is a rosé with character, with all the personality of the Vulture in a refined and modern guise.

Aglianico del Vulture "SCEG" Elena Fucci
SCEG' is a red wine with an authentic soul and a deep symbolic value, born as a tribute to the land of Vulture, its traditions and the tenacity of its farmers. The name itself, SCEG, recalls the Arbereshe dialect of the village of Barile to refer to the pomegranate, a fruit loaded with positive meanings such as prosperity, wealth and happiness. This project was born in 2016 out of a desire to help Grandfather Generoso's friends, over 90 years old, who, like him, have dedicated their lives to the vines, but who risk seeing the fruits of their life's work disappear with the new generations who have emigrated to the north.
Driven by her love for the land, Elena Fucci decided to take care of these small vineyards, preserving the local wine heritage and giving a new chance to plants that speak of history and tradition. The four plots of land in question, facing south and south-east, cover an area of about 1.5 hectares and are planted with over 70-year-old vines that are rooted in volcanic soil composed of pozzolan, ash, lapilli and clay. Cultivation is organic and all the work is done by hand, from the care of the vines to the harvest, which takes place at the end of October when the grapes are collected in small baskets. In the cellar, the grapes are carefully selected and destemmed. Fermentation takes place in steel vats with maceration on the skins for about 14 days. Malolactic fermentation also takes place during the 12 months of ageing in new oak barrels. The SCEG Red then rests in the bottle for at least 6 months before being released.
The nose is fresh and mineral, with hints of smoke and a rich palette of ripe black fruits, including cherries and figs, enriched with intriguing notes of thyme, ground cumin and white pepper. On the palate, the SCEG is full-bodied and well-balanced, with creamy, enveloping tannins, round, balanced and persistent on the palate, with a long finish where the spice and minerality typical of the volcanic soil return.
