Description

Alice Valdobbiadene Prosecco Extra Dry is the first label produced and the most authentic, faithful and traditional interpretation of the Prosecco of Le vigne di Alice, with its fresh and drinkable character, excellent balance between acidity and residual sugar, with a fruity and refreshing soul. It is made with pure Glera grapes from the winery's own vineyards, located in the hills of the north-eastern part of the Valdobbiadene appellation, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The vineyards are situated at an average altitude of 180 metres above sea level, and the vines grow in soils composed mainly of clay and limestone, enriched with glacial moraine deposits from the ancient glaciers of the Piave River. They also benefit from a temperate climate, with cold winters and warm but always breezy summers, accompanied by considerable temperature variations, an ideal terroir that has always been suitable for the production of sparkling wines. After the harvest, in the second half of September, the grapes are carefully destemmed and pressed, and the resulting must ferments at a controlled temperature of 18-20°C. The resulting base wine matures on the fine lees for 45 to 60 days before being re-fermented in steel autoclaves using the Charmat method. Pale straw-yellow in colour, bright and brilliant, the nose is clean and floral with fragrant fruity notes typical of the Glera grape, such as honeysuckle, acacia, pear and apple. Fresh, soft and delicate on the palate, with a clean, juicy and fruity taste and excellent persistence. It is perfect to share with friends, with fish hors d'oeuvres, fish dishes or even with fresh cheeses.
