Description
The 'Begnardi' three-bottle case contains three labels, a red, a white and a rosé from the winery: Ceneo, Hastalis and Rosa al Monte.
Ceneo is the expression of care and attention at every stage of the production process. The grapes, located on medium-textured hilly terrain with a presence of skeleton, are carefully selected at the beginning of September. The final result is a ruby red wine with aromas of red fruits such as plum, cherry, raspberry and blackberry, with floral notes of violet and surprising minerality. On the palate it is full-bodied, fresh, acidic and savoury, with velvety tannins and a persistent finish.
Hastalis wine takes its name from a prehistoric shark, Cosmopolitodus hastalis, inspired by the discovery of a tooth during excavations. Its straw yellow colour with greenish reflections anticipates a fragrant bouquet of white-fleshed fruit, with notes of apple, peach and orange blossom.
Rosa al Monte combines the past with the present, mostly Sangiovese with a small amount of Pugnitello. An intense claret pink wine with an enveloping aroma of red and purple fruits, soft and fresh, balanced, with mineral nuances that recall the stony soil where the vines grow.
