Description

The white wine 'Murva', produced by the eponymous winery, breaks with convention by omitting the cru of origin from the label. The origin here is broader: a deliberate blend of different vineyards and varieties. The majority is Sauvignon Blanc, with a small amount of Chardonnay added to soften the dominant variety's more recognisable imprint and create a smoother, more balanced and transversal profile. This white wine focuses on harmony without excess and is designed to please and surprise, even surpassing varietal expectations.
Renata and Alberto's wines are the result of a respectful and non-invasive approach in both the vineyard and the cellar. They pay close attention to environmental and biodiversity issues. They accompany the grapes on their expressive journey without forcing them, allowing the varieties and individual plots, with their soil and climate characteristics, to guide the final profile of the wine.
The soils in which the Murva Bianco vineyards are planted derive from the ancient erosion of marl and dolomitic limestone, a composition that gives the wines a distinctive character closely linked to the region.
Each vineyard is tended with artisanal care; the constant human presence, direct observation and manual labour ensure the plant's balance, from pruning to harvest.
The grapes undergo cold skin maceration overnight before fermentation begins at a controlled temperature of around 15°C. The wine is then left to age on its fine lees for around a year before bottling. It then remains in the bottle for a further 12 months before sale.
This bright straw-yellow wine captivates with its complexity and extraordinary composure.  On the palate, it opens with a sensation of sweet yellow fruits, despite the total absence of residual sugars. It then evolves to reveal freshness and harmony, with a long finish that never gives way to bitterness. Its inviting finish and clean taste make it extremely pleasant and entice you to take another sip.
