Description

In the picturesque hills of Gubbio, at an altitude of 500 metres above sea level, where the temperate climate and the soil are ideal for growing vines, a wine of extraordinary balance is born. With its characteristic straw-yellow colour, this Chardonnay is an ode to nature and oenological know-how. The vineyard is trained in the Guyot method and has 6300 plants per hectare. The southern exposure and the presence of loose, medium-textured soils with a limestone skeleton give the wine a distinct personality and fruit. Harvested by hand, the grapes are gently crushed before fermenting at controlled temperatures with selected yeasts in stainless steel vats to preserve all the aromatic notes. At the end of fermentation, the wine rests on its fine lees for a period of 6 months, a phase that helps to enhance its complexity and depth. It then matures in the bottle for another 6 months to complete its journey. The delicate and fruity bouquet is followed by an elegant and harmonious taste, which makes this wine particularly suitable for first courses based on fish or vegetables. Its versatility also extends to hors d'oeuvres, charcuterie and cheese platters, first courses with white truffles, pasta with meat sauce and red meats.
