Description
The Deltetto family's eternal passion for Pinot Noir has given rise to Selection 777, a tribute to the famous French clone of Pinot Noir, one of the most noble and elegant black vines in the world.
The introduction of this noble vine into the Piedmontese wine scene dates back to the 19th century, thanks to the ingenuity of Camillo Benso, Count of Cavour, and the expert oenologist Louis Oudart, as attested by the detailed cellar records of the oldest wineries in the area.
The vineyard, located a stone's throw from the winery on the hills of San Michele, is rooted in a compact soil rich in marl, which gives this wine a unique and complex dimension, typical of the excellent wines of Piedmont.
The Deltetto family has always paid particular attention to environmental sustainability and cultivates its grapes using natural fertilisers such as manure and without the use of chemical herbicides, harvesting healthy and genuine fruit for vinification, which is carried out with very low levels of sulphur dioxide, half the limit allowed in organic farming. Harvesting is done by hand and in the cellar, after destemming and crushing the grapes, the must ferments with its skins, macerating for about 30 days. The wine is then aged in oak barrels and barriques for about 18 months before being bottled. Pinot Noir 777 is a chromatic symphony of captivating ruby red, with an olfactory bouquet that opens with elegant notes of blackcurrant and raspberry, typical of the variety, with light floral nuances on the finish. The palate is soft and fresh, surprisingly supple and easy to drink, irresistibly enveloping.
This label is perfect throughout a meal, accompanying you on a sensory journey with meat dishes as well as fish.
