Description

Ribelle, from the Tuscan winery Terre Nere, is a red wine made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, easy to drink, with a distinct minerality on the nose that takes us back to Montalcino, a hilly area caressed by sea breezes. Elegant and fresh, it goes well with even the simplest dishes, perfect to taste an excellent Sangiovese, thanks also to the lively, fruity expressions it is capable of releasing. The estate vineyards that give life to 'Ribelle' are located a few kilometres from the town of Montalcino, at an altitude of 260 metres above sea level, on soils rich in marl and silt, in an area appreciated for its uncontaminated nature and biodiversity, with woods at the edge of the vineyards and streams at the bottom of the valley. This wine, with its deep ruby red colour, is the result of a careful and loving harvest, in which the Sangiovese Grosso grapes are hand-picked and taken to the cellar in small baskets to prevent the grapes from breaking. In the cellar, the fermentation maceration takes place spontaneously, thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts from the grape skins. The maceration lasts for about 20 days and is carried out in stainless steel vats in order to preserve the freshness and elegance of the Sangiovese. Maturation lasts for about 3 months, also in stainless steel, before bottling. The bouquet of 'Ribelle' opens with fruity notes of cherry and wild strawberry, typical of the variety, accompanied by light citrus nuances. The sip is mineral, reveals its elegance and lively freshness, continues to envelop the palate and in the finish the acidity makes it extraordinarily pleasant and moderately persistent. An ideal companion for any table, it will enhance the most authentic gastronomic pleasures and invites us to discover its character.
