Description

The Naturae wine, produced with Marzemino grapes from the Cascina Belmonte winery, supports the Farm Nature Plan, an initiative aimed at increasing and maintaining biodiversity on the farm, promoting a sustainable and harmonious relationship with the surrounding ecosystem. Our commitment results in a richer and more diverse agricultural environment, contributing to the preservation of natural beauty and reducing the dependence of farmers on external interventions. In order to achieve this, we have implemented a series of actions that have been brought together under the Farm Nature Plan project. Marzemino, an ancient black grape variety, lives on today in some lucky areas, including Trentino, Friuli, Emilia and Lombardy. Once cultivated in the Chianti area, it has gained fame over the centuries thanks to Mozart's mention of it in Don Giovanni. Cultivated on clay soils using the Guyot training system, with a controlled yield of 75 quintals per hectare, Marzemino undergoes a vinification process that includes three days of maceration on the skins before the fermenting must is separated from the skins. At the end of fermentation, the wine is aged in steel tanks. Naturae Marzemino is a wine without added sulphites. Ruby red in colour, the nose is full of blackberries and ripe cherries, enriched by a wild note of cut grass. The finish surprises with the sweet intensity of liquorice. The palate is juicy and fresh, with a good depth of texture. The tannins are pleasantly youthful, while the wine warms and dries the palate, offering an interplay of olfactory and fruity intensity with a remarkable tactile fleshiness. Marzemino is an ideal companion for everyday meals, perfect with red meat and grilled meats in informal settings.
