Description

The Lecci e Brocchi Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is the highest expression of the prestige and quality of this interesting family business, produced only in the best vintages. Made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, this wine is the result of a careful and rigorous selection of the best vineyards of the estate, authentically expressing the unique character of the terroir. It is a red wine of intense flavour and great impact, characterised by a rich, predominantly fruity, round and persistent mouthfeel. During the harvest, the selection of the grapes is important, the quality of the Sangiovese grapes is a fundamental prerogative for the production of this wine of depth. Fermentation and maceration on the skins take place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for about 40 days. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation in cement tanks. The wine is then aged in second passage tonneaux for 36 months, as required by the DOCG regulations for the production of 'Gran Selezione' wines. The colour of the wine is an intense ruby red tending towards garnet. The fruity bouquet is intoxicating, with notes of ripe cherries, raspberries and violets, elegantly balanced by hints of oak and spices. The wine is harmonious, intense, with a beautiful structure, elegant and of great overall pleasantness, with a sweet and smooth finish that presents distinct toasted notes. Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is the perfect accompaniment to red meat dishes, enhancing the complexity and elegance of the wine. It is also ideal with piquant or seasoned cheeses, completing a refined and satisfying gastronomic experience.
