Description

The "Semonte" three-bottle case from Cantina Semonte contains three iconic wines: the Metodo Classico "Battista", the Cordaro and the Chardonnay.

Battista, created from a careful selection of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes and dedicated to Battista, the beloved wife of Federico da Montefeltro, is the result of rigorous winemaking protocols and a long period of ageing on the lees. It shows a bright straw yellow colour, a fine and persistent mousse, and a fresh bouquet with fruity notes of apple, white flowers and yeast fragrances.

Cordaro, produced with Dolcetto grapes, tells the curious story of Lucigno and the link between the Langhe and Upper Umbria. After ageing for 24 months in barriques and 24 months in the bottle, it offers floral aromas, red fruits, vanilla and spices. On the palate it is dry, warm and smooth.

Chardonnay, from vineyards at 500 metres above sea level, expresses balance and harmony. With a delicate, fruity aroma and elegant taste, it is the perfect accompaniment to fish dishes, vegetables, white truffles and red meats.
