Description
Trezero 'Eos' is the only Trezero label to be made from two strictly Piwi grape varieties. This blend is made from 60% Soreli grapes and the remaining 40% Sauvignon Rytos, which inherits much of the aromatic component of traditional Sauvignon Blanc. Eos is characterised by sweet tropical and ripe fruit aromas, a complex and pleasing explosion on the nose, and a fun and vertical palate that releases freshness while retaining the typical character of the region's wines.
Founded in 2016, this young, enterprising and original winery puts sustainability first, cultivating only Piwi vines, varieties that sometimes go unnoticed, often little known to most.
The winery is located in Valvasone Arzene, in the Friuli Grave area, an area close to the pre-alpine arc between Udine and Pordenone, characterised by soils of alluvial origin, clayey loam and rich in skeletal remains. The rows run north-south and enjoy ideal conditions, sheltered from the cold north winds.
Harvesting is done by hand and vinification begins with the crushing of the grapes. The must obtained undergoes battonage before fermentation at a low temperature in steel vats with a short maceration on the skins.
Eos has an intense yellow colour. To the nose it offers an explosion of aromas, a harmonious symphony of tropical and exotic fruits such as pineapple, mango and banana, to which are added hints of ripe fruit, reinforcing the elegant and varied bouquet.
In the mouth it is full, taut, with great freshness, lively. It is perfect with important first courses, such as creamy vegetable risottos or oily fish dishes, where its aromatic complexity and liveliness are perfectly balanced.
