Description

Podere Santa Lucia's Rosato IGT Marche is an alternative expression of the queen of our territory, the Lacrima grape. This light, fresh and fragrant rosé wine symbolises the history, the love for the land and the versatility of this vine, which is present in every drop. The vines, cultivated in the municipality of Monte San Vito, have an average age of 10 years and are planted on clayey-sandy soil; they give life to a wine that reflects the harmonious combination of the wind that caresses the rows, the sun that kisses the grapes and the regenerating rain. After the harvest, which is carried out by hand at the beginning of September in order to obtain the right acidity levels in the grapes, the production follows a careful process that respects the grapes: the pressing is gentle in the absence of oxygen, while the fermentation is spontaneous, thanks to the indigenous yeasts found naturally on the surface of the grapes; to preserve the aromas, the temperature is always controlled at around 16-18°C in steel tanks. After 6 months of ageing in stainless steel vats in contact with the fine lees, the result is a rosé that preserves and enhances all the distinctive notes of the Lacrima grape, with a brilliant pink colour. The nose is fine and elegant, with delicate notes of acacia flowers contrasting with the crisp, acidic notes of green apple, a harmonious combination. Fresh and upright on the palate, with a good acidity and a mineral finish, this rosé is ideal with fish hors d'oeuvres, sushi and pasta with fish sauces.
