Veneto

Veneto, in north-east Italy, is one of the country's most productive and diverse wine-producing regions, renowned for producing quality wines ranging from crisp whites to structured reds. Valpolicella, near Verona, is famous for its Amarone, a robust and intense wine made from dried grapes, and Ripasso, a younger but equally popular wine. Another important area is Soave, known for its dry and aromatic white wines, mainly made from Garganega grapes.

The Prosecco area, located in the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, is internationally famous for its fresh and fruity sparkling wines made from the Glera grape. The Prosecco Superiore DOCG denomination represents the highest level of quality in this category. Bardolino, produced in the hills around Lake Garda, is a light and fruity red wine, often considered a wine to be drunk young.

The Colli Euganei area produces both red and white wines, often with an interesting blend of local and international grape varieties. Veneto, with its diversity of terroirs and winemaking traditions, remains one of the most dynamic and innovative regions on the Italian wine scene.
