Description

The Deltetto family's 'Dai Vej' wine takes its name from the Piedmontese expression meaning 'the old ones', and is a heartfelt tribute to the family's ancestors who have handed down the precious wine-making tradition. A versatile and drinkable white wine, for informal occasions, but at the same time elegant, ready to drink, refined in steel, trying to respect the full fruit notes typical of the vine. The winery's history has its roots in the Piedmontese town of Canale, in the Roero region, on the left bank of the Tanaro river, on the same hill where the Arneis vine is still cultivated with passion, using organic methods. The soil is sandy and calcareous, of alluvial origin and rich in minerals. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16°C. Maturation always takes place in steel vats, followed by a short refinement in the bottle. The result is a crystal-clear wine with a straw-yellow colour that is enchanting at first sight and entices you to taste it. On the nose, the wine reveals distinctive fruity notes, with a distinct hint of exotic fruit, enriched by crisp apple and light floral nuances. On the palate, Dai Vej is fresh and elegant, with the same vibrant fruity notes as on the nose. This wine is perfect as an aperitif, but its versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of dishes.
