Description

Nosiola is a vine to which Trentino wine growers are deeply attached. This attachment stems from the fact that it is the only indigenous white grape variety still cultivated, but it is also a tangible symbol of the austere and initially shy character of the inhabitants of this rural land, which is revealed and expressed over time. In the mild and airy climate of the Valle dei Laghi, Nosiola, with its golden berries, finds the ideal growing environment and becomes an icon of the material culture and collective imagination of this land. Grown organically on calcareous soils, the grapes are carefully destemmed and gently pressed at harvest, followed by fermentation with selected yeasts and ageing in steel for 6 months. Folada is a wine with a particular aroma of apricot and elderberry. The aftertaste is slightly bitter, with hints of hazelnut and almond, suggesting the origin of its name. In all its nuances, it is the perfect accompaniment to river and lake fish.
