Description

"The Langhe Nebbiolo produced by Giuseppe Bordone is an extraordinary expression of elegance. Produced exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes, the native vine par excellence of Piedmont, it brings out its best characteristics. This red wine, which can be drunk young, has a delicate bouquet that enchants the senses, with rich floral and fruity scents that, together with a good body, make for an exciting and satisfying tasting experience. The grapes for the production of Langhe Nebbiolo are hand-picked in boxes from plots located on 6 different hills, known as "Rocche", around the winery. The vines, all trained in the Guyot system, are planted on calcareous-clayey soils rich in mineral salts and marine sediments, which give the wines from these areas their distinctive aroma and character. Once in the cellar, the grapes are destemmed, crushed and separated from the stalks, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of around 26°C, with the must remaining in contact with the skins. The wine then matures in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 13°C for about 6 months before being bottled. In the glass, Langhe Nebbiolo presents itself with a fascinating ruby red colour. The taste is dry, supported by a good body, the palate is enveloped by velvety, non-invasive tannins, the finish shows good persistence. On the nose, the aromatic profile is complex, with light floral notes accompanied by intense red fruit notes, enriched by spicy notes reminiscent of cloves. Its versatility, structure and finesse make it perfect for enhancing the flavours of meat dishes, creating a remarkable combination. "
