Description

The Bordone farm is located in the municipality of Montà, in the province of Cuneo, in the area known as Roero. The name of this area derives from an ancient line of counts and consists of a vast landscape of "ravines" called Rocche.

The soil has a unique yellow-ochre colour due to the high presence of sand and marine fossil remains, which can still be found today, combined with the presence of limestone. There are documents attesting the presence of the Arneis vine since the beginning of the 14th century and the Nebbiolo vine since the end of the 15th century.

The company owns and cultivates 15 hectares of vineyards, always trying to exploit the great potential of the native grapes (Arneis, Nebbiolo, Barbera and Brachetto del Roero). The result is a combination of tradition and innovation. We start with temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to ensure better control of the various stages of processing, and then move on to the classic oak barrels for some wines. The flagship product is Roero Arneis, which accounts for 50% of production.
