Description

Brullieri Riserva, the son of Osvaldo Soddu's winemaking art, is the ultimate expression of this young company. Osvaldo, who rediscovered viticulture at the age of thirty, is attentive to the winemaking tradition of the area and believes in handcrafted wine that respects the ancient bond between man and nature. In fact, his philosophy includes responsible farming based on organic principles, even without official certification, resulting in products of unquestionable quality, such as this pure Cannonau, characterised by exceptional finesse and drinkability, accompanied by a remarkable complexity, with a savoury and relaxed finish. The ancient Cannonau vine is cultivated using the low pruning system and finds its most distinctive expression in the Ghirada Bruncu Boeli parcel, with its granitic soils; the pruning system allows a very low yield of about 30 quintals of grapes per hectare. Vinification is carried out in the traditional way, with soft pressing and maceration on the skins for 14 days, while fermentation is carried out by the yeasts naturally present on the grapes, known as indigenous yeasts. Maturation takes place in 600-litre French oak barrels for at least 13 months, followed by 12 months in the bottle before release. The wine is not filtered and any sediment is a tangible sign of its naturalness. On the palate, the Brullieri Riserva is relaxed and savoury, with a fascinating freshness. The finely chiselled tannins lead to a long, juicy and savoury finish that leaves an unforgettable impression. The enveloping aromas of spices and blond tobacco enrich and accompany those of orange peel, blending into an olfactory symphony that anticipates the taste experience, offering a wine of extraordinary complexity and refinement. Brullieri Riserva is a hymn to nature, craftsmanship and love of tradition, an unforgettable sensory experience for lovers of good wine.
