A bunch of grapes, passion and tenacity are the tireless allies that have made the dream of creating excellent wine possible. In 2012, while searching for the ideal destination for the land inherited from the grandfather, the inspiration to create the Azienda Agricola Cicalese Rossella was born within the family. It was a bold choice and the task of realising it was entrusted to a determined person.
The family's land near Eboli has hosted several generations of farmers over the years. Grandparents and great-grandparents grew vegetables, corn, peaches, apricots and artichokes. Initially, wine was just a sideline for the family and a small group of friends. But the fame of this family wine grew and grew. Now, decades later, history is repeating itself in the place where it all began, selecting the vines, planting the rows and harvesting the grapes. What was just a dream has become a tangible reality.
In just a few years, the company has grown steadily. It has expanded production, conquered the market and actively participated in fairs, events and tastings. In 2017, it was present at Vinitaly, an exceptional opportunity to present this local reality to the trade. A young company, firmly anchored in the territory and its typical products, such as the Cilento fig, prickly pear, pomegranate and olives. The labels that identify the wines tell a story of vitality and tradition, reflecting the perfumes and colours of the creations, fruity, spicy, fresh, persistent and structured, thanks to the proximity of the sea.
The road ahead is long, but ambition does not stop at the first successes. With tenacity, passion and a deep respect for nature, the company is moving towards the future. The decision to convert to organic production is a clear demonstration of our commitment to a future of good wine, focused on product quality and the health of the planet.
