Description

The Bramé red wine from the Deltetto winery is made from one of the most popular grape varieties in Piedmont, the pure Barbera. This label combines structure and elegance in one, the sip is enveloping and juicy from the first taste and notes of red fruits delight the nose. Its characteristics give rise to the name "Bramé", a Piedmontese term for the desire and longing that is aroused when it is tasted. The Barbera vineyard is located in the Castellinaldo area, more precisely in the Menzione Geografica Aggiuntiva (MGA) Roncaglia, a term that highlights and specifies the origin of the grapes within a DOC zone. We are situated at an altitude of between 250 and 300 metres, on soils that are mainly sandy and clayey, where the 15-year-old vines are cultivated organically, with natural fertilisation and without the use of herbicides. The grapes are harvested by hand, with careful selection of the best bunches. The must ferments on the skins for about 10 days, then the wine rests in oak barrels for 12 months, during which time the malolactic fermentation takes place; after bottling, the wine is further refined in the bottle. Bramé has an intense ruby red colour and a bouquet of ripe cherries and sour cherries with spicy notes. On the palate, it offers an extraordinary combination of structure and elegance, supported by the typical Barbera acidity, which gives a long, fresh finish. We recommend it with first courses with meat or cheese sauces, as well as with main courses. Its versatility also makes it ideal for serving by the glass.
