Description
The Tenuta Corallo wine project is the result of a marriage of passions. Enzo and Gabriella, driven by their love for the sea and their passion for wine, after acquiring a 13-hectare estate on the coast between the Alimini Lakes and Otranto, have created a refined eco-sustainable farm holiday and planted a 9-hectare organic vineyard just 30 metres from the beautiful beach of the "Bay of the Turks", which bears the memory of the Ottoman landing in 1480 to the detriment of the city of Otranto.
The sea breeze and the thick Mediterranean scrub that separates the vineyard from the sea enrich the grapes with aromas and flavours, giving the wines a pleasant softness and flavour.
The typical grape varieties of Salento: Primitivo, Negramaro, Malvasia Nera, Aleatico and Fiano have enriched the winery with 11 labels of red, white and rosé wines, including a Metodo Classico sparkling wine.
The modern cellar is used for vinification, ageing in steel and oak barrels, bottling and storage.
The winery is open for guided tours and tastings, which can be booked through Italovino, and which every year attract wine lovers to discover the riches of the Italian and Apulian territory.
