Trezero is the first winery in Friuli devoted entirely to PIWI grape varieties, resistant to fungal diseases and with a low environmental impact. It was founded in 2016 by three friends, all wine professionals, who wanted to make a wine combining sustainability and quality without compromise. The idea took shape with the discovery of an experimental vineyard that needs no chemical treatments. The first harvest, carried out amid great enthusiasm and curiosity, confirmed the strong potential of this innovation.
Since 2022 the wines have been made in the new underground cellar, which ensures ideal and constant ageing conditions while keeping energy use to a minimum. Today Trezero is a certified organic winery that has made sustainability its guiding principle, without giving up excellence in the final product. Every part of the work, from vineyard management to production, aims to minimise the environmental impact.
Using only PIWI varieties is a concrete answer to climate change: it avoids chemical treatments and reduces the use of farm machinery and CO₂ emissions. It is not just an agronomic innovation but a philosophy that joins respect for nature with the pursuit of quality.
Trezero shows that sustainability and great wines can go hand in hand: an ambitious, virtuous project that keeps growing in the name of quality and love for the land.
