Description
The 'Trezero' three-bottle case from the winery of the same name conveys the sustainable and innovative philosophy of the Trezero winery, where 'three' refers to the creators of the project and 'zero' to the environmental impact they aim to achieve. All the wines in the range are produced from Piwi vines, varieties resistant to fungal diseases that allow for a drastic reduction in chemical treatments, mechanical processing and CO₂ emissions.
Tholus is a still white wine made from Soreli grapes grown in the loamy-clay soils of the Friuli Grave DOC. In the glass, it is bright straw yellow with greenish reflections; the nose is dominated by floral notes of wisteria and white-fleshed fruit. On the palate, minerality and vibrant freshness stand out, perfect with light cold cuts and prosciutto.
Arsia, a rosé made from 100% Merlot Khorus, is the result of a cutting-edge winemaking vision. Pale and bright pink in colour, it expresses aromas of wild strawberries, pomegranate and sweet spices. The palate is fresh and savoury, with a harmonious and persistent finish: ideal for aperitifs and Mediterranean cuisine.
Olympus, the winery's only red wine, is also made from Merlot Khorus, a Piwi variety developed by the University of Udine. Bright ruby red with violet reflections, it has aromas of morello cherry, blackcurrant, cocoa and light herbaceous notes. On the palate it is full-bodied, fruity and dynamic, with lively tannins and a persistent finish. A box that combines innovation, sustainability and Friulian identity in three modern and authentic labels.

The Trezero winery's 'Tholus' wine, where three stands for the original creators of the project and zero for the environmental impact it aims to achieve, is made exclusively from grapes of the Soreli variety, a piwi grape resistant to fungal diseases. Trezero's commitment to the cultivation of these environmentally friendly and innovative varieties, which guarantee a reduction in chemical treatments, the use of agricultural machinery and CO2 emissions, is its foundation.
The quality is unquestionable, this still white wine is suitable for everyone, the tight palate makes the taste fresh, light and immediate, while the floral aromas are convincing, a pleasant and convincing dance.
The rows of vines face north-south and are planted on plots of land with clayey-clay soils in the Friuli Grave area, within the DOC appellation of the same name. The grapes are harvested by hand, which guarantees a meticulous selection.
For the white vinification, the grapes are lightly pressed, followed by a short maceration of the must, which is left to cool for a few days, during which the battonage is carried out. The battonage technique is also used in the post-fermentation phase to re-suspend the noble lees during ageing.
In the glass, 'Tholus' has a brilliant straw-yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose is dominated by elegant floral notes, such as wisteria, accompanied by hints of white fleshed fruit.
On the palate, the wine's pronounced minerality and vibrant freshness are supported by a well-developed acidity that lingers on the finish. A perfect accompaniment to a wide range of dishes, Tholus is at its best with lightly sliced meats and especially with a good prosciutto crudo, which enhances its delicacy and liveliness.

The Arsia wine is the rosé label that is the result of the avant-garde and innovative winemaking vision of the Trezero winery. It is made with Merlot Khorus pure grapes, a PIWI red grape variety that is resistant to the main fungal diseases affecting vines.
This rosé invites you to drink it immediately, thanks to its red berry aromas, and on the palate it reveals its straightforward, pleasantly fresh side.
The Trezero winery is the result of a bold decision by three young friends to produce quality wines with a low environmental impact, using organic farming methods and the Piwi grape variety in an area of western Friuli where vines have been cultivated since Roman times. The vines are planted on very fine-textured clay soils, rich in skeletal remains of stones from the nearby Alps, carried down by the rivers that, over the centuries, have formed the Friuli Grave plateau.
The vineyards, exposed from north to south, benefit from an excellent temperature range, which favours the freshness and aromatic intensity of the grapes.
Even when ripe, the Merlot Khorus grapes maintain a good acidity profile, which is essential for a good rosé wine. They are gently pressed and processed as white grapes. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, starting at 18°-20°C for the first few days and then gradually reducing to 14°-16°C. The finished wine is aged on its fine lees, with weekly battonage to bring the lees back into suspension.
"Arsia" has a soft, bright pink colour. On the nose it expresses delicate notes of red berries, wild strawberries and pomegranate, enhanced by spicy notes of vanilla, pepper and a hint of cinnamon.
The palate is supple and harmonious, with a balance between freshness and savouriness. The aromatic persistence is surprising, with a finish reminiscent of sweet spices and fruity nuances.
Arsia is the perfect rosé for an aperitif with friends, but it can also be elegantly served throughout a meal, enhancing light dishes, starters and Mediterranean cuisine.

The wine “Olympus” is Trezero’s only red, an intriguing label with a lively character,
smooth and easy-drinking, with pleasant red berry aromas. A wine with an innovative, sustainable approach, made from 100% Merlot Khorus, a PIWI variety developed through research at the University of Udine by crossing Merlot with a hybrid resistant to fungal diseases called Kozma 20-3.
Varieties of this kind make it possible to reduce the use of chemicals and plant protection products, as well as limit mechanisation in the vineyard.
Inspired by the discovery of these varieties and the results achieved, the young team at Trezero continue to grow them and experiment with new techniques, all strictly organic.
We are in Friuli, within the Friuli Grave DOC, just north of the Tagliamento river, which also shaped the alluvial soils the vines grow on, made up of fine clay and rich in stones. All the fruit is selected as early as véraison, choosing only the best-exposed bunches; at harvest the grapes are then picked by hand before winemaking.
The grapes are partially destemmed and crushed, then fermented with skin maceration at a controlled temperature, initially 16°C and then raised to 22°C. During fermentation, délestage is carried out every 12 hours to extract the noblest components of the skins, including polyphenols and intense fruity aromas.
In the glass it shows a bright ruby red, with violet highlights that underline its youth. The nose is rich, with delicate, unobtrusive herbaceous notes followed by hints of morello cherry, blackcurrant and touches of coffee and cocoa.
The palate is full and fruity, with dynamic drinkability; the tannins are lively and well integrated into a fresh, savoury structure, while the long finish recalls the pleasant cocoa notes already found on the nose.
A versatile, intriguing label, perfect with Mediterranean dishes but also ideal with platters of cured meats and cheeses, alternating fresh and aged options to best bring out its complexity.
