Description
The three-bottle case of Verdicchio Classico Superiore DOC 'Jano' from the Colle Jano winery reflects the purity of the Cupramontana hills in the heart of the Marche region. This wine comes from old vines over 60 years old, some still ungrafted, which have been lovingly restored by Filippo and Giulia, the driving force behind a family project dedicated to sustainability and craftsmanship. After soft pressing of the whole bunches, the free-run juice ferments spontaneously with indigenous yeasts at a controlled temperature. Eight months of ageing on the noble lees, constantly stirred, enriches the structure and aromatic complexity. Straw yellow in colour, "Jano" releases aromas of citrus fruits, aromatic herbs and mineral notes. On the palate it is fresh, structured and balanced, with a persistent and deep finish. Perfect with fish, white meats and savoury pies.
