Description
The 'Vignot' three-bottle case includes Roero Arneis 'Vignot' from the Giuseppe Bordone winery, a pure Arneis considered the flagship of this family business. It is a full-bodied and complex white wine with intense and harmonious aromas that combine fruity notes and tertiary nuances from fermentation and ageing in wood. The grapes come from the winery's oldest vineyard, with vines over 30 years old, grown on calcareous and sandy soils according to the Guyot system. Manual harvesting and careful processing in the winery - soft pressing, fermentation in French oak barriques and six months' ageing on the lees with batonnage - bring out the best in the grape variety. In the glass, the wine is straw yellow in colour with golden reflections, revealing notes of ripe fruit, acacia honey, vanilla and hazelnut on the nose. The palate is full-bodied, fresh and enveloping, with a long, smooth finish. Perfect with truffle-based dishes, white meats, mature cheeses or grilled fish, Roero Arneis 'Vignot' is one of the finest expressions of Piedmontese white wine.
