In 2013 Alberto Gandolfi, a textile entrepreneur from Northern Italy, together with his wife Alida, decided to leave the family business and embark on a new path linked to nature and wine. Their encounter with the Marche marked a turning point: in San Marcello they discovered a ruined farmhouse surrounded by around seventeen hectares of vineyards, partly abandoned, including old Verdicchio vines. This gave rise to a restoration project, with the aim of showcasing the territory and sharing its beauty in an authentic and sustainable way. Alongside the recovery of the existing vineyards, new plots of Verdicchio, Lacrima and international varieties were planted, while an underground cellar designed to blend into the landscape took shape. The farmhouse was reborn as Resort Filodivino, complete with seasonal cuisine, a wellness centre and a panoramic swimming pool set among the vines. Every choice is guided by respect for the environment and for people: sustainable materials, collaboration with local artisans and organic farming practices. Filodivino is also about its relationship with the territory, a network of businesses sharing common values, creating a balance between people, nature and community.
