Description

Cantina Pisoni was founded in 1852 and is now in its fourth generation. Marco and Stefano continue the wine-making tradition, producing organic and biodynamic wines in the Valle dei Laghi, between the Brenta Dolomites (UNESCO) and Lake Garda.

The Pisoni wines are all made from their own grapes and the company is a member of the Consorzio Vignaioli del Trentino (as a founding member) and the FIVI Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti (Italian Federation of Independent Wineries), which brings together all Italian wineries that produce wine from their own exclusive grapes.

The company's vineyards cover an area of about 16 hectares, partly on the plain near the Sarca river, with sandy-clay soils, and partly on the San Siro hill, 450 metres above sea level, with calcareous soils. As well as grapes, the farm also produces a small amount of olive oil, apples and kiwis in order to promote biodiversity.

The most cultivated and typical grape variety of Valle dei Laghi is Nosiola, the only white grape variety native to Trentino, which has found its ideal habitat in this area thanks to the influence of Lake Garda and other bodies of water. The Valle dei Laghi enjoys a mild climate throughout the year and the presence of breezes allows the production of mature, well-structured wines.
