Description

Welcome to the heart of Chianti Classico, where the story of Lecci e Brocchi comes to life, continuing a tradition rooted in 1970. The farm, now in its third year of organic conversion, is located in the southern area of Chianti Classico, a stone's throw from Siena, on the picturesque Lecci e Brocchi estate.

It all began when Vasco, the father of the current owner, decided to buy the land next to the village from a parish priest. The farm, called Lecci e Brocchi because of the holm oaks that grew in the area and the "brocchi", the pieces of wood that remained after the holm oaks were felled, was originally a wheat farm. Vasco, with his vision and love for the land, saw the potential of the red, stony, mineral-rich soil for growing vines. He began planting the first vineyards and the exciting results led to the expansion of the company with new vineyard plots.

This special and rare 'terroir' is shared with only one other estate in the entire Chianti Classico area, underlining the uniqueness of Lecci e Brocchi. The estate, which covers about 10 hectares, also includes olive groves and woods. Like the wine, the extra-virgin olive oil, made from the Moraiolo, Cureggiolo and Frantoio varieties, is characterised by the same fruitiness.

Until 2009, Chianti Classico was sold in bulk in tanks to the most prestigious DOCG names. But a new chapter began when Vasco fell seriously ill. With great courage, Vasco's daughter Sabrina, together with her husband Giancarlo, the support of her mother and the encouragement of her son Giovanni, who is studying to become an oenologist, decided to stop selling wine in bulk and to start bottling.

The commitment is to continue producing wines and oils that reflect the essence of this unique territory, Tuscany, celebrating the passion, dedication and history that make Lecci e Brocchi an extraordinary place. We invite you to discover our range of wines and oils that tell the story of an authentic and passionate family business.
